The sun and the Plant
“Ahh, finally a day to shine,” thoughts the Sun, as he rises from above.
It’s been an eternity since he couldn’t dance in a clear sky, only survive behind the dark clouds and his failed attempts to tear them apart and thrive. He looks down to the earth, sees the animals appreciating him, he also sees plants green, sunbathing in his heat.
Soon his eyes catch a set of plants enjoying themselves. Two plants sitting in a balcony of a house, peeking at the people and grass from the railing, they look mischievous. They are laughing at the people, judging people and teasing the small grass in the ground.
“Oh! I hate people, these big heads are so arrogant and stupid,” says the Epipremnum aureum.
“Don’t say that Smritee keeps good care of us,” says the Salvia hispanica.
“Yea, not her. She’s a goddess but others.” Epipremnum defends herself and diverts the talk to the grasses.
“Look at those pathetic grass, they are so dirty and in the shade. On this sunny day, they can’t even get some rays,” Epipremnum says.
“Poor plants, they can’t even enjoy the sun,” says Salvia.
The Epipremnum wears her imaginary glasses and looks straight at the Sun.
The Sun smiles at them and goes. “Two different plants, grown in the same pot. They are sisters,” the Sun exclaimed.
The plants help each other thrive. Best friends, sisters, they consider themselves, they are inseparable. The Sun sees the sisters laughing; they are so pleased to get the warmth.
The Sun gets happy as he can help and keeps going slowly, jumping, dancing in the sky. Taking its time and his attempt to reach every being on the planet.
